Hi Terry!

Congratulations on a great movie career. Been a long time but I remember you as being one hell of a boxer! Recall a pic of you and I in the WSU yearbook as intercollegiate boxers. In all your movies; did your fighting ability ever become an asset? With warmest regards "Nish"

I just wanted to say thank you, for so much more then I really can describe. I watched you on Tour of Duty back when I was a young man with dreams of being a soldier, and always kept you in mind as how a leader should treat his men. When I was 17, I enlisted in the US Army as a Cavalry Scout (no horses, just a LOT of walking), and as always, used the example that you and the rest of the guys had given me as my main way of approaching my chosen career. I am now 35, a disabled veteran (remember, feet and knees together when landing from a Jump) and influence a lot of young men that have the same dreams I had as a young, soon to be, soldier. As always I use yourself and the others as points of influence in dealing with these young men, so I just wanted to say thank you again, for making a role turn into a role model that has lasted for so long and meant so much.
Yours,
Dwayne D.

Terry,

I grew up watching Tour Of Duty, my father watched the show every week. I used to play "army" and "war" with my friends, and wore the bandanna like the Sarge, haha. I hadn't watched Tour Of Duty for years, until I saw a re-run on tv a while back. I tried searching on Tivo for Tour of Duty but I couldn't find it. So I bought the boxset of all three seasons. The great thing for me is that I was 7 or 8 when I used to watch it with my brother and dad, so I don't remember most of the episodes. Now that I am watching all the episodes again, I am amazed as to how great the acting was as well as how great the special effects were. This show is a classic show and I cannot comprehend why it is not on TV as re-runs like M*A*S*H. I am guessing that it has to do with the royalties to the musicians. For what it's worth, you did a great job on Tour of Duty!

Jonathan

As a soldier myself, I am very proud of hte way you guys portrayed those who came before me.
Thanks for giving us all the proper portrayal of our vets!
Zeke is a great role model for NCOs in the Army!

Hi Terry, I watched every episode of ToD when it was aired on satelite tv back in 1987 - 1990. I thought it was a great, well informed and well acted series. I am over the moon that I will eventually get it on DVD so I can watch my fav Sarge in action again. I was sad when the series finished but hey, ce la vie. Best wishes to you and your fiancee for a happy life together. My son, Mark, who is 19 thinks it is a great show due to the realism behind it all, and can't wait to watch them with me. Lock n Load Sarge . Best wishes, Maria.x
